  A MINING company has been granted access to a north Queensland wildlife reserve dedicated to the late Steve Irwin.

  Mining company Cape Alumina last week started legal action in the Land Court in Brisbane seeking access to Bertiehaugh Cattle Station, renamed the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve, to continue an environmental impact study (EIS) for a proposed bauxite mine.
